NEW: NCSLI Approved for the 2008 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)!
Federal employees can now contribute their tax-deductible contributions through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and support NCSL International efforts at the same time. NCSLI’s code is: 26683 for 2008. We will be listed in the National/International category as opposed to “local” since we have evidence of our educational efforts throughout the world.
The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. CFC is managed by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.
Funds contributed through the CFC will be dedicated solely to the NCSL International Education Development Fund and its associated projects and efforts. Projects for each year are selected and prioritized in the NCSLI Strategic Plan.
Educational Development Fund
With your financial support, NCSL International can create additional interest in the field of metrology through its “Outreach” programs at schools and universities. By helping provide funding for scholarships and education outreach, you can ensure a steady stream of trained metrology personnel in the future.
NCSL International is a 501(c)(3) educational organization. It has recently established an Education Development Fund which allows companies and people to donate tax deductible contributions. These funds are specifically to be used to support worldwide education and training efforts as established during strategic planning. Projects will include such things as outreach, support to schools, needs assessments, and collaboration with training providers to offer more real-time training on a regional basis.
With the supply of trained metrologists diminishing each day, you cannot afford to wait to support this vital activity. The metrology industry needs your help!
