Continuing Education Units

As a member benefit, NCSL International offers Continuing Education Units and Certificates of Attendance for attending NCSLI events, conferences, webinars, and other training toward furthering Professional Development.

Continuing education units, or CEUs, are awarded by many education and training providers to signify successful completion of non-credit programs and courses intended to improve the knowledge and skills of working adults. CEUs provide a good way of measuring a person's participation in a continuing education program. This information is then reported to their employers. Professionals can use CEUs to improve their skills and to stay current with new technology, laws, and regulations that might apply to their field.

In most states, a CEU is a tenth of an hour. Thus, a one hour course is equivalent to 0.1 CEU.

NCSLI members who register and attend NCSLI events, conferences, webinars, and other trainings will receive CEUs after attendance has been verified.

Members can also view their CEUs earned in their My Profile account.

  1. Go to My Profile, located at top right corner of website.
  2. Choose Account + Settings
  3. Select Professional Development from menu
